Member Resources

Members of the Quad Cities Chamber share a common belief that a vibrant region with an outstanding quality of life will contribute to the success of their business and their employees. The Chamber makes the connections and provides the resources and opportunities our businesses and community needs to thrive.

As the region's largest business organization and leading resource for area businesses, we know the importance of providing a return on your investment in the Chamber. We are committed to providing benefits that deliver immediate value to your company.

Research repeatedly shows that the benefits of being a part of your local Chamber of Commerce are wide-reaching. According to a recent study by The Schapiro Group, consumers are 51% more likely to be highly aware of a business if it is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and 57% more likely to think more positively of its local reputation. Read the full study here.

Below are the benefits for all member investors.

Networking & Professional Development Events

Make new connections and enhance your skills at Chamber programs and events. Our monthly programs include A Chance to Meet, Morning Network, Business After Hours and Executives Club, and our annual events include the Annual Meeting, Schmooza Palooza, Economic Outlook, Athena Awards and the Golf Outing.

Advocacy

The Chamber works on  your behalf at city halls, the state capitols and in Washington, D.C. to advance priorities that will foster business growth. In addition, we serve as a conduit for business and industry to access public officials in an effort to advance the specific needs or information related to their business. To that end, members are encouraged to engage in advocacy initiatives and events, including our annual trips to Des Moines, Springfield and Washington, D.C.

Economic Development

The Quad Cities Chamber is committed to advancing the economic strength and prosperity of the region by facilitating the creation of 5,000 new jobs by 2015. These jobs will come through a combination of local business expansions, the attraction of new businesses to the region and business creation through innovation and entrepreneurship.

The majority of new job creation is generated by existing businesses. We work closely with local companies, helping with retention and expansion needs including building and site location; access to capital; applications to state agencies, cities and counties; business plan guidance and identification of new markets, product lines and technologies.

We also actively market the benefits of doing business in the region through Quad Cities First, the external marketing division of the Chamber. Our team works with companies and site location consultants around the world to attract new businesses to the area.

Young Professionals

The Network: Young Professionals of the Quad Cities works to attract and retain young talent while establishing the region's next generation of business and community leaders. Made up of over 3,000 young people working together to showcase the Quad Cities as a community of choice, The Network provides opportunities to connect and build relationships with community and business leaders through professional development, volunteer and social opportunities.

Target Business Development - Government Contracting

The Quad Cities Chamber works closely with the Rock Island Arsenal and local Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) to connect local companies with government contracting opportunities. One way we do that is by linking defense contractors with members through a quarterly "Chance to Meet" event that provides insight and coaching on how to contract with the government.
