Chamber Merger Approved - Next Steps

The legal merger of the two organizations will take place on or about September 1, 2010. In the interim period, here's what we know and expect:

  • Each of the Chambers -- Iowa QC and Illinois QC -- will continue to operate, offering the programs, activities and volunteer opportunities members value and enjoy.

  • Staff members of the Iowa and Illinois QC Chambers will remain in place to provide services, work with volunteers and support our member businesses.

  • The existing chamber offices in Moline and Davenport will remain open for business.

  • A new 48-member Quad Cities Chamber Board of Directors will be seated as the governing body for the organization. They in turn will select a single CEO in mid-August to head up the Quad Cities Chamber. Click here for a list of the proposed QC Chamber Board of Directors.

In upcoming months, the Quad Cities Chamber Board will adopt a new investment schedule that will take effect as companies renew their memberships in the Chamber. In the interim, please contact the following staff members as you have questions about dues or benefits:
