Mary Macumber Schmidt Assumes Role as President of Family Resources

The Family Resources Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mary Macumber Schmidt, MCJ,will assume the role of President of Family Resources effective Monday, March 2, 2015. Mary has been with Family Resources for nearly 20 years, and has served in the capacity of Vice President since 2008. As Vice President, her focus has been the day-to-day operations of all programs and services and leadership roles with key strategic plan initiatives.

Mary's extensive history and leadership with the organization, knowledge of the social service field and passion for Family Resources and its clients will be pivotal as she leads Family Resources in the years to come.

"It is my great honor to accept the position of President of Family Resources. I am elated to have the opportunity to lead this wonderful organization forward in pursuit of its richly established mission and vision for the individuals, families and children we serve,” noted Macumber Schmidt.

"On behalf of the Board, I am thrilled to support Mary as she transitions into her role as Family Resources President. We are fortunate to have her expertise and experience to lead Family Resources forward,” said Sarah Johnson, Board Chair.

Family Resources has been fortunate to have Cheryl Goodwin as its leader for the past seven years. "Cheryl’s unwavering dedication and innovation within the field are unmatched,” shared Sarah Johnson. "I have been blessed to be a part of Family Resources’ mission for the past twenty-seven years; it has shaped the person I am today. It has been a true privilege to work with our dedicated team throughout the years to serve the people who need us most. I want to especially extend my thanks to our "Family Resources friends" for their volunteerism, financial support and overall commitment to our work," Goodwin commented.
